Compatibility FAQ

How many TV brands does Universal Remote support?
Universal Remote supports 11 TV brands and platforms: Samsung (Tizen), LG (webOS), Roku, Android TV & Google TV, Amazon Fire TV, Vizio (SmartCast), Sony (Bravia), Philips, Panasonic, Hisense, and Apple TV.
Does it work with my old Smart TV?
If your TV has WiFi connectivity and a smart platform, it likely works. Samsung TVs from 2016+, LG from 2014+, and most Smart TVs from the last 8-10 years are compatible.
What if my TV brand isn't listed?
Many TVs from brands like TCL, Sharp, Insignia, and Toshiba run Roku, Android TV, or Fire TV OS — they're supported through those platforms. Check what operating system your TV runs.
Does it work with projectors?
If your projector runs Android TV, Google TV, or Roku, then yes! The app connects through the smart platform, not the display type.
Can I control TVs from different brands?
Absolutely. Premium users can pair up to 10 devices from any combination of brands. Control a Samsung in the living room and an LG in the bedroom from the same app.
